Traditional Chai

The authentic method of making traditional Chai on the stovetop, an experience that will transport you to the bustling streets of India.


  • 1 cup of water​
  • 1 cup of milk or oat milk​
  • 4 teaspoons of any loose leaf tea ​
  • ½ teaspoon of Tora Chai Classic Masala​
  • Sugar, sweetener or honey (Optional)


  1. In a small saucepan, mix water and Tora Chai Classic Masala together, and bring to a boil.​
  2. Add in loose leaf tea (preferably CTC) and simmer for 1-2 minutes.​
  3. Add milk and bring back to a boil.
  4. Simmer for another 1-2 minutes and turn off the stove.​
  5. Use a strainer to filter the ingredients when pouring chai into a tea cup.
  6. Add sugar, sweetener or honey if desired. (Optional)
